Level 3 Certified Xactimate® 27 Instructors
Day One: On your first day of Xactimate® training, we will cover the basics of completing an estimate from start to finish using estimate items and summary. Uploading, file stacking, and producing Word and Excel temples in Xactimate® are also covered. Students will then learn how to complete a simple estimate using the three different methods offered in Xactimate®:
(1) Estimate Item using dimensioning (2) Sketch(3) Summary Next, the student will learn how to import photos and produce final reports. The day will conclude with a complete review and the students will be given practice estimates along with a CD containing files of the completed practice estimates. Introduction to estimating using Sketch will be covered as an introduction to day two.
Day Two: Day two will begin with a review of day one. The remainder of the day will be devoted to Sketch. Attendees will learn to complete an entire estimate in sketch automatically forming a tree view. Framing, wiring, plumbing, insulation, siding using temples and the wizard will be covered. The attendee wills produce macros to create templates for similar estimates that automatically update material list when floor plans and elevation views are resized. The day will conclude with a complete review and the students will be given practice estimates along with a CD containing files of the completed practice estimates.
Day Three: Day three of Xactimate® 27 training will begin with a review of day one and two with the remainder of the day devoted to roofs using Sketch. A systematic approach to identifying and sketching roofs will be covered in detail. Replacing Trusses, stick framing, and roofing will be covered. Templates for various types of roofs will be developed for use in estimates with similar roofs. The estimator retrieves the template, resizes the roof sketch and the material list will auto update. At the end of the course attendees will be given a take home test that fully covers the three day class. The instructor will be available by email for assistance.
